WOOHOO! Keil and I decided to take our first road trip in the Mini. We went to Cheyenne to celebrate my birthday. What a fun day! It was overcast (my favorite kind of weather). We really enjoyed some down time :). In the top two pics, Keil is replacing the door lights with the "bat signal" Mini logo lights. Now to protect our new investment. The next 3 days after I got home with the Mini were filled with Severe Thunderstorm Warnings. And here in Nebraska that usually means hail comes with it. So the first night Keil rigged up this make protection by securing a tarp to the house and securing it to the van so the mini could park underneath. The next day he started on the car port and applied for the permit so we wouldn't be asked to take it down. So in 2 mornings before he had to go to work, he was able to build a temporary carport until we could get the permit approved. So that protects the Mini while it's home, now we needed to come up with a way to protect it while I am at work. My boss has let me park in the warehouse! YIPPEE!!
