Late this year, I got a job working for the County Road and Highway Department in Chappell. I mainly do office work, accounts payable and receivable, timesheets, and equipment logs, but then there are days when all the guys are needed for a project and I get to be the flagger. Today was my first time doing this. It was slightly boring (in that I only saw 7 cars in 3 hours) but it was fun, none-the-less. I only had one guy try to get past me and then proceeded to tell me how the guys were doing the roads wrong. All-in-all it was an uneventful and fun day - plus it was BEAUTIFUL out! Slightly chilly but the sun rays were quite warming.

Sadly after a year-and-a-half at one of the best jobs in the world, it comes to an end. It started with an interview where I actually used the word "wonky" to describe myself, to learning all about what an actual Cowgirl looks like and lives, to saying "see you again someday", to a very dear friend. This job for was such a growing experience for me - as a person, as a designer, and as a gal that lives in the country. Praying that Carrie and her family love their new home in Oklahoma, and hope to work for her again.
