This still needs the rest of the shelves, the front doors, and the cutting block top. Will post pics when I get it finished.

While we wait for the drywall mud to dry in the kitchen, I decided to build a cabinet for the kitchen. It will go to the right of the fridge and be much needed additional storage and counter space. I decided to build it out of cedar fencing - which give it the rustic feel and look that we are using throughout the rest of the house. Plus it smells INCREDIBLE!! This still needs the rest of the shelves, the front doors, and the cutting block top. Will post pics when I get it finished.

While I was at work today, Keil sent me these progress pics of the kitchen. Only a couple of pieces of dry wall left and we will be ready to mud and paint! I am still trying to figure out how he cut the archway so perfect! WOW! Awesome job! And look at those recessed lights! He truly is amazing at what he can do!
The kitchen got more dry wall today! YIPPEE! Keil spent most of his day off today finishing the new outlets, putting in the insulation, and sealing up the walls. He even moved the fridge to it's new home on the other side of the kitchen. Now, mind you, neither of us are too excited about it blocking half of that window, BUT it does open up that kitchen so much that I think we can put up with a little wonkiness. So here's a little comparison of how far we've come in the kitchen. It's starting to feel real! We are so excited about our progress! |
