A few little changes to the house that didn't really need their own separate blog posts. I got some new switchplate covers for some of the outlets (mainly in the kitchen). We also got a new rug for the kitchen that Tom LOVES. And last but not least we changed the hardware on our kitchen cabinets to a more updated style (and so we would stop getting hooked on them).

Things are popping up around here! We have been finding tulips popping up in the oddest places around our yard. One bunch at the end of our driveway on the dirt road side, one on our driveway next to the cars, a bunch next to random spot up against the house in the lawn, and then a whole bunch in the place I think they were originally planted next to the deck.

With the cleaning up around the deck and the yard, I have planted a new “Hens & Chicks” garden (succulents) that I am so excited to see fill in as they grow over the next few years. And then there is the catnip. Holy moly there is a LOT of catnip growing in our yard and garden. We have successfully pulled most of it (mostly because if you let it go it will become very invasive). I am keeping a bit in a couple of places and hoping to keep it contained. That is what is growing out of the little chiminea.

We have also been trying to get rid of the rotting wood around landscaping, and replacing little by little. That is where the brick borders come in. Those bricks are from the chimney we tore down from the roof. I am so excited we get to use the old bricks in our yard.
