Day 1 of the Demo

Today we started taking out the old and broken. First we removed the drop ceiling in the living room. It revealed the coolest vintage wallpaper. I wish I knew what year it was put up.

So far the ceiling in the living room looks to be in good condition.

Next we took out the drop ceiling in the kitchen. That revealed some problem areas that we will need to fix before we proceed. No cool wallpaper in there, just ugly (almost fluorescent) yellow paint. After we finished that, Keil had to get ready for work so I spent the remainder of the day ripping out the "wood" paneling in the living room. I don't think there is a 1 foot space in those walls that doesn't have a nail hole in them. Holy Moly!
