Since we had to say "good-bye" to our chimney (in the attic and on the roof) we had to provide a safer way for the water heater to expel it's exhaust. Though the chimney is beautiful, it was falling apart and the exhaust was leaking into the house and attic. So we installed double wall pipe from the basement into the attic, and will eventually go through a new hole in the roof. We had some guidance to make sure we did it safely and correctly. Towards the end of the installation we realized we were two elbows short, which meant we needed to go to Home Depot (an hour away) to get them.
So after a full day of roofing in the wind we washed up and invited our friends to go with us so we could all go to dinner. We needed some fun down time.
After getting our Home Depot shopping out of the way we looked for a place to eat. The first place we stopped was celebrating Oktoberfest - but all they had was sandwiches. In the short time we were there though I took pictures of what we are wanting to do for our curtain rods. It will go with the rustic industrial look that we have going in the new house. Though I don’t know if everything thing should be like this in the house :). I just like some of the accents. It goes well with the Edison bulbs we have in our lighting.
We ended up going to Village Inn. One of Keil’s favorites - because he likes getting PIE :)
